Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus,
May the Lord be glorified as the global church continues to respond in Turkey, and we are just a small part of it. May the Lord use the many earthquakes and the floods that recently happened to glorify Himself in Turkey, and in the region around it.
Many of our partners in Antioch and Adana are busy at work serving others. Please continue to pray for the tent building and distributing efforts. The tents are built in Adana and delivered to Antakya (Antioch), and in the last week there have been three instances of setting up tents for people only to find out parts missing.
In addition to that, sanitation is a big need. Many people are entering compromised buildings to use the toilets, or simply finding a private corner of their yard. People in our group have started bringing down toilets and bags of cement mix to help set up bathrooms in their gardens.
Antakya Christian Church is being blessed by some volunteers who want to help, and some of these volunteers are Americans from various mission groups.
ACC has also established a new base of operation for their outreach ministry through which they are giving tents, food, and actually cooking for many. (We are claiming new territory for the kingdom in Turkey, praise God.)
Another praise report: Pastor Hamdullah and Elmas Akins are no longer sleeping in their van, but they are staying in the pre-fabricated building placed by the outreach ministry’s new location.
Many of our other partners are still in need of prayer and help, because they have lost everything and are trying to reestablish themselves. Rebridge has already sent $75,000 in support of many of these wonderful partners in Turkey and Syria. We plan to send more as the funds come in, thank you so much for your generosity, and God bless you.
