Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus,
I am still in shock and sad about what is happening right now in Turkey after the massive, destructive earthquake that hit them! I have been on the phone and texting with our friends in that region. Their lives have been turned upside down (literally)!
It has been two and a half days since the earthquake–help has not arrived. Survivors are standing in front of whatever is left of their homes and buildings, waiting on someone to come rescue their loved ones who are trapped under the rubble. And yet help is not on the way!
Our Friends and Ministry Partners are still living in their cars, and mentally trying to process the grief of the loss of life and possessions in their neighborhoods. On top of that there is a snow storm coming through now bringing with it very cold temperatures–no electricity, no running water, roads are impassable, and they are ready to quit!
For years our Ministry Partners have been helping widows, orphans, and the refugees who escaped the war in Syria! I remember the many times we partnered with them to help those people who have lost everything and were living in tents. Our Brothers in Turkey provided food and shelter for them. Now the question comes: who will provide for our Brothers and Sisters?
Please pray, pray, and pray some more, for them…and for me! Let’s stand together with them as Son and Daughters of the Living God Jesus and show them that they are not alone.
What do you say? Can you pray please? Can you send a gift?
Here are photos of the destroyed church where we worshiped last month when we were there:
