Dear Ministry Partners,
We have received an encouraging update from our friends at Antakya Christian Church that we wanted to share.
I am amazed yet again at how quickly things can move in
Turkiye, even when the earthquakes have flattened Antakya! Much is still “not there” in the city, but much is beginning to return to normal.
The basement for storage on the new ministry center land is moving forward quickly. The
steel and C40 concrete (strong) foundation was poured on Sunday. The forms are off and the forms for the basement walls began to be set up Tuesday.
Thank you for praying! Please continue to pray that all would go well, and that the basement and other things needed to be organized for the ministry center to move from borrowed land over to this new plot would go smoothly. Below is a photo and a short video of the forms for the basement walls beginning to take shape.
At the same time the new church building is moving forward. Two groups of laborers from Germany and Romania arrived this weekend and another group arrived today (Wednesday). Pray that they will be blessed by God for their service, and that the building will be well finished. Steel for the roof arrived Saturday and we hope to soon see the peaked roof taking form!
