The Middle-East Conflict & The Church

Greetings in the Name of our Lord Jesus,

We are heartbroken at the grim reality of the current war that has broken out between Israel and the Palestinians. The conflict has taken a harrowing toll on innocent civilians in Israel, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and countless others being affected by the situation.

In the last debrief I sent to you on October 1, I shared with you that there have been spiritual battles raging throughout the region and that all eyes are on Jerusalem. As of October 7, with the attack of Hamas on Israel, these spiritual battles have now fully manifested into a physical battle! Each day that passes, we are witnessing a gradual escalation, with the Muslim world in uproar calling for Jihad and the Western world sending fleets and soldiers to the area.

There is also a growing fear that Lebanon, bordering Israel in the North, may be drawn into the midst of this conflict as well. Hezbollah currently wields significant power in Lebanon under its patron, Iran. Serving as Hezbollah's largest benefactor and great supporter of the Hamas regime in Gaza, Iran has remained proximal to both ends of this unrest. Hezbollah has engaged in several clashes along the border, signaling its readiness to open a new front for the war. Our brothers and sisters in Lebanon are living in great fear as war looms at their border, putting their lives in danger and ravaging what is left of this small country already reeling from a devastated economy and fragmented government. Strikes on Lebanese soil would also cause great setbacks in the many ministries and outreaches within Lebanon whose reach extends throughout the entire Middle East.

During our most recent trip to Lebanon last month, we had the opportunity to visit the churches and ministry partners that we have been walking alongside. We were blown away in the south of Lebanon by the wonderful people we met and their numerous plans to grow ministries. They have planted small churches in the extreme south, just outside the Israeli-Lebanese border. Now, in the face of this growing hostility, all of that beautifully expectant growth has come to a halt, leaving many left the area fearing for their lives.

Friends, at this moment, we urge you to pray! It is only by the mighty power of God's hand that we would see change in the hearts of the leaders of nations involved in this conflict.

Together we join to pray for:

  1. Swift peace and intervention in the Israel-Gaza conflict

  2. The thousands of innocent people in Israel, Gaza and Lebanon

  3. The safety of our brethren in the area of conflict

  4. Hearts to be softened for the gospel and for the salvation of many in the midst of chaos

  5. Jesus' Church to stand as a beacon of light and hope in a brutal and dark world

Your generosity matters, and for it we are grateful! Please prayerfully consider a financial contribution to this effort.

Remember, 100% of what you give goes directly toward helping these people in need because of our low overhead and direct relationship with those providing help on the front lines.
